URL Image Importer works with the same image formats WordPress supports:
- JPEG / JPG (
.jpeg,.jpg) - PNG (
.png) - GIF (
.gif) - ICO (
.ico) - WebP (
.webp), on WordPress 5.8 and later - SVG (
.svg), sanitized on import for security
Video files such as MP4 are not currently supported. The plugin imports image files only.
