For large jobs like migrating an asset library, importing hundreds of product images, or pulling in a spreadsheet of links, use the CSV Import tab. Prepare a CSV with your image URLs in a column (optional metadata can sit alongside each URL), upload it, and the plugin reads each row, validates the image, and imports every valid file.
If you need a starting point, the Download Sample CSV link gives you a ready-made template. Imports are processed one at a time and recursively, so even very large lists won't time out.
Note: On dedicated, high-speed servers, running imports in chunks of 500 to 2,000 URLs per run gives the best balance of speed and reliability.
