What are Smart Chapters?
Smart Chapters are built automatically from a video's uploaded captions. Upload captions first, then click Generate Smart Chapters in the video details screen. It usually takes a minute or less, and there is no separate transcription step or extra transcription cost. You can also add and edit chapters by hand.
Can I see how many people watch my videos?
Yes. Open a video and click the Views tab for total views, watch time, an engagement score from 0 to 100, a 30-day chart, and your top five countries. Stats count plays from your Infinite Uploads embeds.
What is Player v2, and do I need to update my embeds?
Player v2 is the current Infinite Uploads player, with captions, chapters, and your player color, controls, and language settings. New libraries start on v2. If your library is still on Player v1, switch it on the Player tab in Video Cloud settings and click Save Settings. Every embed updates at once with no re-saving, and any v1 libraries remaining on December 1, 2026 move to v2 automatically.
How can I control access and privacy for my videos?
Videos play on your site through the shortcode or the block. Direct Play is a setting in Video Cloud under the Player tab. Leave it off if you only want videos embedded on your own pages. Turn it on to get share links and iframe embed code, and remember that anyone with a Direct Play URL or video ID can watch the video.
