Last we checked, BuddyBoss (a popular BuddyPress fork) had compatibility issues due to how uploads are managed. We have modified the Infinite Uploads plugin to bypass cloud storage in such cases to avoid slowing down or crashing sites.

If I delete a post from WordPress, will the associated media files in Infinite Uploads also be deleted?

No, Infinite Uploads behaves like WordPress core and does not delete media automatically. However, if you use a plugin that supports this functionality, it will likely work with Infinite Uploads. To confirm, try accessing the URLs post-deletion to ensure they’re no longer cached in our CDN.

Can I use Infinite Uploads on WordPress.com?

Yes, but only if you’re using a paid WordPress.com plan that allows installing plugins. These plans work like traditional WordPress hosting.

How do I exclude specific files from being uploaded to the cloud?

Use the infinite_uploads_sync_exclusions filter to exclude files or directories. For example:

apply_filters('infinite_uploads_sync_exclusions', ['/do-not-sync-this-dir/', 'somefilename.ext']);

You might also need to check with the plugin/theme author for ways to change the storage directory.

I’m encountering a CORS policy issue with images hosted on Infinite Uploads. How can I fix this?

Infinite Uploads should include the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header for media by default. If you’re still seeing issues, let us know your site URL so we can investigate further.

Can Infinite Uploads integrate with multiple domains and share the same media library?

Infinite Uploads does not sync your media library database, only the files. You can connect multiple domains to the same cloud library, but new attachments won’t appear across sites without manual syncing.

How do I troubleshoot file upload issues with the Big File Uploads plugin?

1. Ensure you’re using the WordPress Media > Add New page.

2. Check PHP settings such as max_execution_time, post_max_size, and upload_max_filesize.

3. Review PHP error logs for more details.
