Today, we’re announcing version 3.0 of Infinite Uploads. This major release marks the start of our journey to bring you the best media experience for WordPress. Since purchasing Infinite Uploads in late 2024, we’ve taken the time to deeply understand our customers, their needs, and where we want to take Infinite Uploads moving forward.
Our Vision
Our new vision is to not only become the best offload media solution for WordPress, but to be the leaders in bringing the best WordPress media solutions. We’ve thought long and hard about how to do this, and we’ve identified three core visions for Infinite Uploads
Build the best offload media plugin
We have our goals set high. Infinite Uploads will become the best offload media plugin on the market. While “best” is a vague term, we believe it encompasses our actual product, and our other two visions. Infinite Uploads will improve compatibility with other plugins 10x, become less resource intensive, make it more affordable, and add more features

Partner with top notch companies that provide excellent image & performance plugins
We debated heavily about building our own image optimization suite using our existing infrastructure, but we decided to go down the partnership path. We’re working on a few strategic partnerships and compatibility with top image optimization plugins.
Service our customers through excellent documentation, helpful blog posts, and quick support tickets
Infinite Uploads has 23 docs at the time of this writing, and 54 blog posts published on the site. Since acquiring Infinite Uploads, we’ve already made improvements to our support, including live chat during US business hours. We intend to start building out more documentation & refining our blog posts starting in June.
Our new process for building our support tickets is determining what docs exist already, and how we can improve those. Then, the next step is examining our prior support tickets over the past 4 years, and turning those into docs if they’re not already made.
What’s new with Infinite Uploads?
In Infinite Uploads v3.0, we balanced out new features and making future updates easier. While we won’t bore you with every little changes, here’s a list of changes you’ll get with v3.0:
- 10-20% faster on average, depending on hosting environments
- Made possible through upgrading AWS SDK upgrades, which includes Guzzle 6 to 7
- Changed namespace from UglyRobot to ClikIT
- Compatibility with Imagify
- Improved WooCommerce compatibility (v2.0.9 released 5/23/25)
- Complianz compatibility
What’s next for Infinite Uploads?
After v3.0, we’re moving onto improved log handling. Right now, logs stored in wp-content/uploads are uploaded to Infinite Uploads, which makes them unwritable because it’s trying to write to a file in real time, which isn’t the intention of Infinite Uploads. To combat this, we’re using a 2 pronged approach. We will build out a folder exclusion ability (wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/) or (wp-content/wflogs/) and also a permanent .log exclusion.
We will also be introducing a lower priced tier. Sometimes 50GB of storage and 100GB of bandwidth can be too much, but you still want the benefits of offloading your media library.
Conclusion
We’re super excited for what’s coming for Infinite Uploads. Join us on our journey to bring Infinite Uploads to the next level.
