Frequently Asked Questions

What is it good at generating?

This AI model can create some amazing images with the right guidance. It especially excells at more artistic images such as paintings, drawings, CG, etc. Think stock photos or art.

It struggles a bit with photorealistic human faces and body parts, which often appear strangly deformed. Also if you ask it to generate text the letters are usually mangled or mixed up.

What is the copyright license of images I create?

All generated images that comply with our service usage terms are public domain and are yours to license as you see fit. We retain no rights to them.

The public domain is not a unified concept across legal jurisdictions, thus the specific affirmation you make is that of the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication.

What restrictions are there?

Our AI will have much more relaxed restrictions than ones like Dalle-2. But with great power comes great responsibility, so you must agree to abide by our restrictions for all prompts and generated images:

You should not attept to generate:

  • NSFW, lewd, or sexual material
  • Hateful or violent imagery, such as antisemitic iconography, racist caricatures, misogynistic and misandrist propaganda, etc.
  • Personal information about yourself or any other person.  This includes but is not limited to phone numbers, residential addresses, social security numbers, drivers license numbers, account numbers, etc.
  • Copyrighted or trademarked material should be avoided in prompts.

More specifically you agree not to use the Model or Derivatives of the Model:

  • In any way that violates any applicable national, federal, state, local or international law or regulation;
  • For the purpose of exploiting, harming or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way;
  • To generate or disseminate verifiably false information and/or content with the purpose of harming others;
  • To generate or disseminate personal identifiable information that can be used to harm an individual;
  • To defame, disparage or otherwise harass others;
  • For fully automated decision making that adversely impacts an individual’s legal rights or otherwise creates or modifies a binding, enforceable obligation;
  • For any use intended to or which has the effect of discriminating against or harming individuals or groups based on online or offline social behavior or known or predicted personal or personality characteristics;
  • To exploit any of the vulnerabilities of a specific group of persons based on their age, social, physical or mental characteristics, in order to materially distort the behavior of a person pertaining to that group in a manner that causes or is likely to cause that person or another person physical or psychological harm;
  • For any use intended to or which has the effect of discriminating against individuals or groups based on legally protected characteristics or categories;
  • To provide medical advice and medical results interpretation;
  • To generate or disseminate information for the purpose to be used for administration of justice, law enforcement, immigration or asylum processes, such as predicting an individual will commit fraud/crime commitment (e.g. by text profiling, drawing causal relationships between assertions made in documents, indiscriminate and arbitrarily-targeted use).

We also will be filtering prompt input and screening output to try and block the creation of adult content.

What biases does this AI have?

All AI model have biases in how the outputs they generate for a given prompt. These biases are not related to technical problems but to the fact that these artificial intelligences are trained on millions of real-world texts and images, so the models inherently reflect society’s biases.

As long as society has biases, all models created in any domain will only learn and bring out these biases.

For example, without detailed directions, images may lack diversity in race, sex, etc. They may portray racist or sexist stereotypes. That is why it is imporant that a human remains in the loop, moderating and filtering all output to meet our terms of use.

Any willful violation of our terms of use to generate or share disallowed images will lead to a suspension of your account and forfeit of any purchased credits. We will be building systems for detecting and reporting on violations.
