Most sites never need this, but if you have a specific image that must be delivered exactly as you uploaded it, the Exclusions<\/strong> field lets you tell Infinite Uploads to skip optimizing it. Excluded images are always delivered as their original file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you might use it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n
A logo or brand asset<\/strong> that must be pixel-exact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A screenshot or diagram<\/strong> with fine text where any compression softening isn't acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A downloadable or print image<\/strong> you want served untouched.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
If you don't have a case like this, leave Exclusions blank. The whole library benefits from optimization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How to add exclusions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In the Image Optimization<\/strong> section, type your entries into the Exclusions<\/strong> box, one per line, then click Save Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can match in two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By filename<\/strong>: enter `logo.png<\/code> to skip that file anywhere in your library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n`
By path<\/strong>: enter a folder fragment like \/2026\/01\/<\/code> to skip everything uploaded in that month, or \/brand\/<\/code> to skip a folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\nExamples:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \nlogo.png<\/code>: never optimize any file named logo.png<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n hero-print.jpg<\/code>: skip one specific file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n \/2026\/01\/<\/code>: skip every image uploaded in January 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\nNote: You can paste a full image URL and we'll trim it down for you automatically: https:\/\/xxxxx.infiniteuploads.cloud\/2026\/01\/logo.png<\/code> is stored and matched as \/2026\/01\/logo.png<\/code>. Match is case-insensitive and checks whether the entry appears anywhere in the image's path, so keep entries specific enough to only catch what you intend.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n How can I verify an image is excluded?<\/h2>\n\n\n\nVisit the front end, right-click the excluded image, and choose Inspect<\/strong>. In the Network panel, reload and click the image request. The response Content-Type<\/strong> should be the original image\/jpeg<\/code> or image\/png<\/code> (not image\/avif<\/code> or image\/webp<\/code>), confirming it's being delivered untouched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \nNote: If you added an exclusion but still see a next-gen format, the previously optimized copy may still be cached. Use the Purge CDN Cache<\/strong> button to clear it, then re-check.
